Police Agents Provocateurs Caught on Camera

A video which has found its way onto YouTube shows three plainclothes police officers at the protest with bandanas across their faces. One of the men was carrying a rock. In a glorious irony, the video captures protest organizers ordering one agent provocateur to put the rock down, accusing the three men of being police instigators and trying unsuccessfully to unmask them. The three police officers were then, hilariously, put on the ground and arrested by their own, presumably unaware, colleagues for trying to get through a line of riot police to escape.

The Untouchables

But it is the aftermath of this terrible event which gives us an insight into how the state functions, a story of an unaccountable, out of control police force which is not only getting away with murder but misleading the public then abusing its power in an an attempt at a cover up, harassing citizens brave enough to try to expose its dishonesty. While the fragmented aspects of this case are in the public domain, it is only when all the elements are drawn together that the true picture of the Met’s iniquity becomes clear.
